The company

Architecture & Engineering Services Limited was established in 2003 to provide civil, structural and architectural design to the construction industry.

Combining state-of-the-art technology with a unified approach to architecture, engineering and construction, AES has designed for blue-chip organisations and delivered solutions on some of the most complex and demanding projects in the world — programmes and packages with build costs measured in the hundreds of millions, and portfolio control measured in the billions.

The record includes work delivered for and alongside organisations such as AWE, Saudi Aramco, CH2M (now Jacobs) and RWE — environments where the standard is set by the consequence of getting it wrong.

FEED & pre-construction planning

Front-End Engineering Design has become the decisive phase of modern construction. As BIM makes projects more information-rich, the engineering planning that precedes construction has to be deeper and earlier. AES front-loads that thinking — testing options, fixing interfaces and de-risking the scheme while change still costs pennies rather than programme.

BIM, anywhere on Earth

AES has delivered projects through BIM for well over a decade, on schemes ranging from £1.5M to programmes within a $12B portfolio.

The capability is fully mobile: the complete modelling, analysis and design-management stack runs from high-performance portable hardware and deploys to any site worldwide. On the fly, it identifies where failures exist, presents virtualised solutions, and prices the options — live, optioneered bills of quantities, each conforming to the governing codes — so the most cost-effective compliant answer is on the table while the meeting is still running.

Project & construction management

The same model that designs the asset drives its delivery. Phased versions of the BIM turn the construction programme into something the whole team can see — accelerating shared understanding, keeping the sequence honest, and embedding safe working practice into the method rather than the margin of the drawing.

Immersive review

Photorealistic and virtual-reality walkthroughs let the client experience the finished asset before construction commits a pound — so every change is made in the model, where it is nearly free, rather than on site, where it never is.
