Six small things, and what each one is actually for.

This site sets no advertising cookies, no social media cookies and no third-party tracking of any kind. Nothing here follows you to another website, because nothing here is capable of it.
Six items are used in total. Two are strictly necessary and are set without asking, as PECR permits. The rest are set only after you have said yes, or only because you asked for something that requires them.

| aes.visit.id | Groups the pages of one visit together, so three pages read in a row are counted as one visit rather than three strangers. Session storage, not a cookie: it is destroyed the moment you close the tab and cannot be read by any other site. A random string with no meaning. |

Declining does not reduce the site in any way. Every page, tool and download works identically — you simply are not counted.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser's settings, and this site will still work. The one consequence worth knowing: blocking them means the consent banner has nowhere to record your answer, so it will appear on every page. That is the banner working correctly, not a fault.

Worth stating plainly, because most sites cannot say it:
The analytics on this site were written for this site. The data goes into a database on the same server the pages come from, and no third party ever sees it.
Two external services are used, both narrowly: Google Fonts serves the typefaces, and ip-api.com converts an IP address into a town name — receiving the address and nothing else, never a name, an email or a page. Google Maps is loaded only on the site owner's private administrative page, which no visitor can open.
